Arca's maniacally deformed samples really come to life when paired with the animation of Jesse Kanda – a London based artist who, as well as designing for Arca's solo projects, is also responsible for much of the art that defined his collobaration with FKA Twigs, most notably the video for Water Me.
This strange computer animation features three babies performing a chereographed dance to Knot, the opening track of Arca's '&&&&&' mixtape. It is the first scene in a film titled 'TRAUMA', described in the video's description on Youtube as an "ongoing project […] spanning through Arca's existing and future works" that debuted at MoMA PS1 last year and will be shown at various galleries around the world this year. If this is your bag, keep an eye out for more.
