Video: R&B, 28.06.19After recently dropping their tranquillising song ‘Frosty Tips’, the South London duo 13XL are back with a new set of visuals to enhance the experience.
The video enlisted cinematographer Oliver Ford – who has worked with the likes of Jorja Smith on previous projects – and director Nathan Sam Long.
Nathan said, “Frosty Tips’ was shot in close-ups, catching momentary details frozen in time. It feels almost like a drug, where you lose the bigger picture to this heightened sense of infatuation, focusing on every little detail, movement and expression. The characters of Scott and Xena are trying to escape the curse.”
The video was shot on a variety of film cameras, making for an unwashed and warped texture that adds to the sensory overload of the video.
