1. TDJ – ‘Yesterday’
An experimental side project of Montreal producer and artist RYAN Playground; TDJ marks a step away from her pop punk-inspired creations to delve further into the electronic side of her craft. Appearing on her new EP ‘TDJ002’, ‘Yesterday’ is a smooth soundscape striking an elegant balance between a wide range of textures and sounds.
2. YT – ‘Arc’teryx’
YT’s meditative and confident sound is sure to leave you wanting more on his latest release ‘Arc’teryx’. Lyrically, the rising London rapper flexes his streetwear fashion and lifestyle in a cheeky manner while his potent flow makes the track one of his most prolific releases to date.
3. Michael Paradise – ‘Lil World of Mine’
With a steady stream of indie pop releases dating back to 2018, Michael Paradise is beginning to come into his own. On ‘Lil World of Mine’, the Toronto artist’s melodic sound is adorned with lush guitar chords and groovy bass notes, resulting in a rich sound which shows what he’s all about.
4. Zach Medeiros – ‘When We Meet Along the Water’
Having cut his teeth producing his own brand of indie music, Canadian singer-songwriter Zach Medeiros has opted for more of a pop-fuelled sound in recent times. His single ‘When We Meet Along the Water’ is a hazy number dedicated to a dream which sparked his desire to reunite with someone special.
5. Jay Glavany – ‘Good Things’
Toronto native Jay Glavany has spent years honing his sound and distilling his life experiences into smooth R&B numbers. Letting his velvet melodies loose over the intricate and moody production, ‘Good Things’ is a sensory experience from start to finish.
