Incorporating talent from across the globe, check out our five Tracks of the Week taken from our meticulously-curated ‘BRAND NEW’ playlist showcasing some of the most exciting up-and-coming talents around.
1. Talia Goddess – ‘I’ll Be Down’
Co-signed by the likes of A$AP Ferg, 18-year-old Talia Goddess looks destined for big things. Despite her age, the queer vocalist-rapper is leaving her mark with a unique sound intersecting R&B, Neo-soul and New York hip hop. Opting for a smooth lo-fi number on ‘I’ll Be Down’, Talia shows her emotional maturity with a crooning love song.
2. Hôy la – ‘Milk And Honey’
Experimenting with dark moods and hypnotic beats to create her visceral soundscapes, Norwegian producer and vocalist Hôy la is one to get acquainted with. Her minimalist style shines through on new track ‘Milk and Honey’, where a range of acoustic and electronic elements combine to form a glitchy trip-hop cut.
3. Dasychira – ‘Eternal Family’
A South African artist based in the States, Dasychira uses their music to explore the chaos of fantasy and the paranormal. Merging ghostly vocals with the intricate and textural production, new release ‘Eternal Family’ is an other-worldly sonic experience.
4. pecq – ‘Make It Louder’
Tapping into their love of alt-pop and experimental music, pecq is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist duo Nikò O’Brien and Hannah Jacobs. Stripping back their sound to its naked best on ‘Make It Louder’, Jacobs’ vocals shimmer across the sparse and atmospheric production.
5. Moutarde & Miel – ‘Elle vibre’
Experimental French duo Moutarde & Miel immerse their listeners in a dream-like world of moody ambience, cloudy skies and sticky synth keys. Kicking off their new ‘Surprise !’ EP, ‘Elle vibre’ sets the tone of the project with vocals that dissolve into the haziness of their own beats.
