1. Selassie – ‘SYMBOLS’

Ghanaian-born talent Selassie is heavily inspired by “breaking the stereotypes and the mentality of kids from Africa in Europe”. Not hindered by the constraints of categories or genres, the rising prodigy’s nonchalant poetic delivery mines the edges of jazz, hip hop and beyond to bring colour to the world. His latest single ‘SYMBOLS’ establishes his unique sound even further and earns the top spot in this week’s round up.

2. phil – ‘all or nothing’

Known for his introspective penmanship and poetic perceptions of life, UK rapper phil’s latest single ‘all or nothing’ reveals his woozy world building ability.

3. Neop0p & Lorenzi – ‘313 Ode to cage butterfly’

France-based artist Neop0p’s new track ‘313 Ode to cage butterfly’ is an ethereal offering. Criss-crossing over the boundaries of experimental pop music, the underground sensation is looking to takeover.

4. Rip Eternal – ‘Truth Be Told’

Rip Eternal is an up-and-coming Soundcloud rapper based in Philadelphia. On his latest offering ‘Truth Be Told’, the lyricist floats over a dreamy cloud rap instrumental with his trademark sleek flows.

5. TEEG – ‘Mice Of Men’

‘Mice of Men’ is the debut single from TEEG, UK rap’s newest star-boy. Off-loading his drill-inspired flows over a speaker-shaking instrumental, the rising talent offers a sneak peak of what people can expect going forward.
