The 10 Best 2-step Bombs, according to Bklava
Incorporating talent from across the globe, check out our five Tracks of the Week taken from our meticulously-curated BRAND NEW playlist showcasing some of the most exciting up-and-coming talents around.
1. Rude Nala – ‘Zaza’
Oozing confidence and sultry swagger, Rude Nala’s signature of blend of R&B and rap never fails to impress. For her latest release ‘Zaza’, the Vancouver-based singer puts her golden melodies to use over a warping, moody trap beat.
2. BOKO – ‘DIRTY’
The title track from indie DIY artist Boko’s newly released album, ‘DIRTY’, is a bedroom pop/hip hop anthem which is unapologetically rough around the edges. Continuing the Tel Aviv-based talent’s minimalistic approach towards studio equipment and his production process, the up-and-comer has managed to hone a unique sound and aesthetic.
3. Nora Lilith – ‘Daysof8’
Experimenting with hazy lo-fi electronics while simultaneously avoiding the confinement of any particular genre is what Austin-based artist Nora Lilith is all about. ‘Daysof8’ marks the DIY artist’s latest release and is a haunting yet deeply intimate cut, which draws upon her left-field production style to submerge listeners in a sub-aquatic sonic world.
4. Motel 7 – ‘Things I Hate’
The new single from Los Angeles indie pop duo Motel 7, ‘Things I Hate’, takes an introspective dive into the LA nightlife scene and its reputation of all-out partying and drugs use. Comprised of Dylan Jagger Lee and Anton Khabbaz, the pair continue to show their creative side as they carve out an original pop sound.
5. GOOD FOR NOTHING. – ‘VOMIT.’
Following the high-octane single ‘CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT.’, Canada-based experimental rap figure GOOD FOR NOTHING. has shared his latest release ‘VOMIT’. Despite being a newcomer on the scene, the rising artist’s explosive fusion of noise-rap and punk makes for an enthralling listen – If you’re a fan of Death Grips or Ho99o9, you’ll love this.
