Stepping up for the June instalment of Dummy Presents in New York is Mermaid Avenue. An NYC based sub-label of Mom and Pop Music, Mermaid Ave is is named after Woody Guthrie's song and the street in Coney Island where he lived.
Currently home to the likes of Hinds and Pumarosa – the label have put together a stellar line-up of emerging talent for the show in New York tonight – ranging from the conscious shaped R&B flow of local rapper Commonminds, Arizona upstart Command, and self-proclaimed 'solar coaster tycoon' Quiet Luke, as well as DJ sets from Petite League and Tei Shi.
In anticipation of the event, listen to the label's selections below, and get set for the usual Dummy fuelled fun at Elvis Guesthouse.
