1. p-rallel – ‘One Time’ (feat. Jords)
Getting his year underway in typical p-rallel style, the West Londoner fuses his old school raving influences into new single ‘One Time’ – an effortlessly cool and stylish UK garage collaboration with high-flying rapper Jords. It’s the final track on p-rallel’s recently released ‘Forward’ EP and is the perfect bop for the summer months ahead.
2. Yung Lean – ‘Trip’
Building anticipation for his new ‘Stardust’ album after a lengthy hiatus, Yung Lean marks his anticipated return with lead single ‘Trip’. After teasing the track at a show in Oslo, Norway earlier this month, the new offering is everything we’ve come to expect from the visionary rapper over the last decade, flowing over a dreamy electronic beat with his iconic nonchalant wordplay.
3. Unknown T – ‘Often’
Another first release of the year in this week’s round up, East London’s Unknown T has his eyes firmly set on continuing the momentum he has built up across his last two projects. Loaded with a fiery instrumental from sought-after producer Chris Rich, new single ‘Often’ sees the rapper push the boundaries even further with his distinctive, heavy-hitting flows.
4. Dean Blunt – ‘MORT Freestyle’ Remix
Speculation surrounding a new Dean Blunt project has been sent into overdrive after the elusive East Londoner shared a number of short snippets in recent weeks – one of which featuring himself with A$AP Rocky. Following on from the original ‘MORT Freestyle’ video he shared last month, which clocks in at 45 seconds, the new remix features vocals from previous collaborator TYSON and leaves you wanting more.
5. Logic1000 – ‘Rush’
Continuing her sparkling form of late after a huge year in 2021, Logic1000’s new single is ready to light up dance floors this summer. Entitled ‘Rush’, the Berlin-based producer retains the playful club-ready energy of February’s ‘Can’t Stop Thinking About’, this time with a deeper baseline underpinning the choppy vocal samples.
