1. Miso Extra – ‘1013’

A melting pot of generational substance, Miso Extra’s music explores a variety of themes such as femininity, female empowerment and being of mixed heritage. The new single from the London-based rapper-singer, titled ‘1013’, combines elements of her British and Japanese culture, featuring a smooth series of bilingual lyrics and dreamy production to craft her so-called “Misoverse”.

2. Naoko – ‘Medusa’

Despite still being relatively early into their music journey, Norwegian duo Naoko’s modern fusions of R&B and avant-garde electronic sounds is next level. Taken from their recent ‘Breathe on Me’ EP, ‘Medusa’ sees producers Erlend Elvesveen and Charite Viken utilise their immense, otherworldly style to make something unlike anything else you’ll have heard this week.

3. Ashlee White – ‘Twist’

When listening to Virginia-based singer-rapper Ashlee White’s seemingly effortless lyrical style, it should come as no surprise that before deciding to make music she started her creative journey as a poet. Blending elements of hip hop and R&B into a mouthwatering hybrid sound, Ashlee’s ‘Twist’ appears on her newly released ‘Chameleon’ album and stylishly showcases what she’s all about.

4. DavidTheTragic – ‘ALLERGY’

Since breaking through onto the Atlanta hip hop scene in 2018, DavidTheTragic has proved to be one of the most original rappers about. His newest single ‘ALLERGY’ is another statement of his impeccable form over the last few years, making use of his masterful wordplay and flows to produce a super smooth cut.

5. Edwin Rosen – ‘mitleerenhänden’

It hasn’t been long since German producer Edwin Rosen debuted his latest project ‘mitleerenhänden’, along with the lead title track of the same name, both of which go towards showing the extent of his brilliant synth work and melodic vocals. Complete with Rosen’s moody synth pop sound, the track is about feeling like no matter what you do, it is just not good enough.
