Incorporating talent from across the globe, check out our five Tracks of the Week taken from our meticulously-curated BRAND NEW playlist showcasing some of the most exciting up-and-coming talents around.
1. Léa Sen – ‘I Like Dis’
London-based songstress Léa Sen’s new EP ‘You Of Now, Pt. 1’ arrives in the rear-view mirror of a great 2021, which saw her feature on Joy Orbison’s critically acclaimed ‘still slipping vol. 1’ project as she prepared to take her solo work to new levels this year. Taken from the new project, ‘I Like Dis’ is a mellow cut which sees the singer drop her melodic glaciers over some acoustic guitar lines.
2. Golden Vessel – ‘spinning’
Golden Vessel is the musical project of Brisbane-based creative Maxwell Byrne. His latest single ‘spinning’ is the third track to be released in the roll out for his forthcoming album ‘everythingeverydayeverything’ and is a dreamy blend of electronic production and indie vocals.
3. Casper Sage – ‘Summer’s Gone’
While barely out his teens, 20-year-old Casper Sage’s music carries the maturity and emotional depth of an artist way beyond his years. Breaking down into an experimental rap song midway through the cut, the woozy indie production and reverb-soaked guitars on ‘Summer’s Gone’ sum up the rising artist’s sonic universe perfectly.
4. Sam Bekt – ‘SPY’
Fans of Still Woozy, Toro Y Moi and Porches should get to know up-and-coming lo-fi R&B artist Sam Bekt. Hailing from Philadelphia, when Bekt isn’t drumming for an array of collaborators he’s honing his distinctive brand of left-field pop, with new single ‘SPY’ showing what he’s all about.
5. boywithahalo – ‘raincoat’
‘raincoat’ is the latest single to arrive from DIY producer and artist boywithahalo. Weaving soul-bearing melodies with acoustic guitar chords, the intimate single is one we’ve been loving this week.
