Incorporating talent from across the globe, check out our five Tracks of the Week taken from our meticulously-curated ‘BRAND NEW’ playlist showcasing some of the most exciting up-and-coming talents around.
1. Kezia – ‘SUNSHINE’
Blending R&B hooks and golden pop-fuelled melodies, ‘Sunshine’ is the latest release from Tanzanian-American singer Kezia. Originally written about a now ex-boyfriend before finding herself in the lyrics, the 21-year-old’s vibrant sound is a reminder to be confident in your own skin.
2. Skillz 8figure – ‘Make Sense’ feat. Oxlade
Tying together flavours of dancehall, trap and soul within his work, Ghana-based singer Skillz 8Figure has dropped his new project ‘After Dark’. A highlight of the EP; the Oxlade-assisted ‘Make Sense’ stays true to his bouncy sound as he confesses his deepest desires over the distinctive Afro-pop production.
3. Dad Friendly – ‘Options’
Dad Friendly’s smooth lo-fi sound is a breath of fresh air whenever you hear it. Having spent much of lockdown putting out dazzling bedroom pop creations, the Seattle duo have continued their form with latest track ‘Options’.
4. Sosa CBT – ‘Going On A Trip’
Having become somewhat of an internet sensation within the UK drill scene, you might have heard the catchy chorus to ‘Going On A Trip’ doing the rounds on social media over the last month. Now, the track’s creator Sosa CBT has decided to finally release the full version, along with some clean visuals.
5. William Crooks – ‘BANNED’
Turning his experimental hip hop sound up to the max on new track ‘BANNED’, William Crooks dances over the intricate cloud rap production with his unmistakable vocal flair.
