Mina & Bryte’s ‘See Something’ gets a gqom-inspired General C’mamane remix
Incorporating talent from across the globe, check out our five Tracks of the Week taken from our meticulously-curated BRAND NEW playlist showcasing some of the most exciting up-and-coming talents around.
1. Dovae – ‘How To Grow Legs’
Paris-based singer-songwriter Dovae recently dropped her first single of 2022, titled ‘How To Grow Legs’. Unlike the guitar-heavy, shoe-gazing vibe of her debut single ‘Opale’, the new track is packed with wonky synths and Dovae’s English-speaking melodies, creating a sound just as suited for the after party as it is for chilling out on your own.
2. Claire Rousay – ‘Overcast’ feat. More Eaze & Bloodz Boi
Honing in on personal emotions and the trivial details of everyday life, Claire Rousay’s otherworldly music rarely fails to impress. New single ‘Overcast’ sees the San Antonio-based talent link up with More Eaze and Bloodz Boi for a mellow slice of experimental folk music.
3. Kage – ‘Quel Souvenir’
‘Quel Souvenir’ is the latest track from French rappers Kage and Jetpacc. Despite both carving out their own unique paths with their solo work, the pair have combined their talent for a dance-floor ready helping of rap and drum ‘n’ bass.
4. Lav Andula – ‘S4D&SC4R3D’
Lav Andula has been an active member of the Arizona avant-garde underground for a number of years now. Splicing their trademark warped beats and robotic electronics with dizzying waves of feedback, new track ‘S4D&SC4R3D’ is one you won’t want to miss out on.
5. saint – ‘sona blue’
‘saint’ is the latest track from 21-year-old East Londoner sona blue and his third to drop this year. Building upon the rich indie-pop sound he’s developed so far, the new track is a soul-bearing and intimate example of the youngster’s songwriting ability.
