Showcasing the best new music every single week, check out five of the hottest tracks added to our carefully-curated NEXT HYPE playlist.

1. BackRoad Gee – ‘Under Attack’

BackRoad Gee’s new single follows what has been an exciting 12 months, after releasing his debut mixtape ‘Reporting Live From The Back Of The Roads’ and becoming the first UK rapper to collaborate with Jay-Z on a track. Entitled ‘Under Attack’, the high octane and frenetic new cut is already shaping up to be one of the rap anthems of the summer!

2. Thaiboy Digital – ‘Im Fresh’

Fans of Thaiboy Digital have been waiting on this new single ever since a snippet of the tune appeared in an Instagram video featuring the rest of the Drain Gang members a few months back. Simple, catchy and undeniably fresh, it’s already a fan favourite.

3. Ojerime – ‘Alarming’

Blending 808s, textured production and enchanting melodies, Ojerime’s latest single ‘Alarming’ considers the highs and lows of a relationship turned sour. The cathartic, soul-bearing cut continues the singer’s fine form since bursting onto the scene back in 2018.

4. Effy – ‘Run It’

Up-and-coming electronic talent Effy’s latest single ‘Run It’ features none other than Australian producer Mall Grab. The Blackpool-raised artist’s bass heavy new offering solidifies her penchant for the grittier club productions that will explode into life on her forthcoming EP ‘Not What It Seems’.

5. Blackhaine – ‘Prayer’ feat. Iceboy Violet & Blood Orange

25-year-old Brit Tom Heyes aka Blackhaine exists at the intersection of drill, contemporary dance and left-field electronica. For his latest single, he recruits fellow northerner Iceboy Violent and Blood Orange for a deeply intense track worth checking out.
