Incorporating talent from across the globe, check out our five Tracks of the Week taken from our meticulously-curated BRAND NEW playlist showcasing some of the most exciting up-and-coming talents around.
1. 0171 – ‘Welcome Back To My Channel’
Splicing left field pop with UK garage and beyond, experimental electronic duo 0171 recently turned in their genre-bending ‘Welcome Back To My Channel’ EP. The project’s atmospheric title track shows the Hackney outfit’s knack for pushing boundaries with a dreamy and multi-layered sound.
2. Graphinity – ‘TUNDRA’
Hailing from Frederick, Maryland, emerging wordsmith Graphinity seems to be on course for big things. Despite releasing back in 2021, his single ‘TUNDRA’ is an ultra-smooth and thought-provoking hip hop cut, revealing the lyricist’s natural ability as a producer as well as being a fierce rapper.
3. LAZA – ‘Sunburst’
For 29-year-old DJ and producer LAZA, his brand of electronic music mines the edges of disco, funk and jazz. ‘Sunburst’ is the second half of his recently released double-single ‘Elements’ and plays with same warm harmonies, melodies and rhythm that he developed from an early age.
4. BABY – ‘How U Been?’
Originally a bedroom demo made on a broken laptop, ‘How U Been?’ is now the polished and fiery debut single from London-based newcomer BABY. The track introduces the artist’s punk-fuelled, cheeky lyricism, occupying an exciting space somewhere inbetween slowthai, Bakar and Jamie T.
5. Swordes – ‘Thy Medicine’
‘Thy Medicine’ is the latest offering from New York based artist Swordes, an enigmatic figure who “makes human music for humans”. Showcasing an ethereal blend of electronic production and vocals, the single is an all-out sonic experience from start to finish.
