Manchester producer Rupert Taylor, AKA XXXY, is releasing a new EP via Rinse this February, and it’s about time. Listening to title track Got Me So is like taking a sip of water and realising you’ve been dehydrated for a while now; it’s a bubbly house offering with a bouncing bassline and an addictive vocal sample, making it all impossibly easy to get swept up in. There’s no fulfilment, only provocation and anticipation – “got me so…what you did”.
