Watch live music in aid of international human rights this weekend
If you’ve got nothing planned for this Sunday (5th May) on the May Bank Holiday Weekend, you could do worse than heading down to Hackney Town Hall for ‘Syntheties’, the latest annual event put on by international human rights charity Restless Beings. The organisation have spent the last five years working with marginalised communities across the world. Previous campaigns have included aiding Bangladeshi street children, raising awareness of ala kachuu – a form of bride kidnapping still practised in parts of Central Asia – and helping the persecuted stateless Rohingyas.
On the night, there’ll be a new documentary profiling the work of the charity, finger food and lollipops for all guests, and live sets from Cronos and Dummy Mix almuni, Nottingham producer Kirk Spencer.
Tickets start from £10, for more information head to the Restless Beings website.
