We’re big fans of Walls – they’ve been interviewed, have done us not one but two fine mixes. Their second album ‘Coracle’ was a strong showing of their way with lovely, soothing haze, and now it’s been remixed.
The strongest track on ‘Coracle Remixed’ is probably this exemplary re-tooling by John Tejada. It’s smooth as silk, has some delicate yet just the right amount of cheesy piano trickling over it, and is one of the most bittersweetly ecstatic things you’ll hear all summer. Basically, it’s the kind of track best listened to at sunset on beach, while clutching a cocktail and looking pensively towards the ocean (we imagine).
