Video premiere: Young Yizzy feat. Specialist Moss 'Signs'

Lewisham's Young Yizzy is flying at the moment. After our recent Next feature with him he went on to become runner-up in Glastonbury's Emerging Talent competition leading to a slot at the festival and a £2,500 prize from the PRS. In addition to that his debut EP 'This Is Life' has been getting rave reviews and big support from all parts of the industry including Complex, NME, GRM Daily and Radio One. It's also worth mentioning that for the last nine months he's been busy causing heat at an underground level, performing radio sets for the likes of Radar Radio, RinseFM and Reprezent. And now, with his recent freestyle for the legendary Risky Roadz it’s becoming impossible to ignore Yizzy’s burgeoning talent. This is an artist that has paid his dues but also has huge ambition. 

 

We are now super excited to premiere the second video from the EP. The track is called 'Signs' and features Specialist Moss lending the track a dancehall vibe that complements Yizzy's high energy, but precise and hooky, lyrical style perfectly. It's another track that is all the more impressive coming from such a young artist. The video is a simple, atmospheric and beautifully shot love letter to the streets where Yizzy grew up – "This is a tale of a young boy shutting down shows on a council estate, but it weren't easy". Got a feeling Yizzy will be shutting down shows all over the world before you know it.
