Ultra rare New Order release –Elegia

Joy Division the famous Mancunian rock band, that reformed as New Order, after the tragic suicide of their lead singer Ian Curtis in the 80’s, undoubtedly has left its mark and keeps influencing up to now.
An ultra rare 12’’compiled by the American label Slow To Speak, has just emerged. It’s a mighty glimpse, into the years before New Order met global fame and eventually became commercial. It includes the full 18minute version of the instrumental song ‘Elegia’, which is Latin for elegy, and as New Order have stated it was written in memory of Ian Curtis. As well as Alegia, in the 12’‘ gem release, the John Peel of ‘5-8-6’ and the song ‘The Him’ from their debut album ‘Movement’ can be found.
