Tuff Sherm - Burglar Loops EP

Eugene Hector, AKA Dro Carey and AKA Tuff Sherm, is an Australian DJ, producer and visual artist. His overall style is varied and experimental, but his Tuff Sherm moniker specifically deals with BPMs around the 120 mark and is forcefully gritty, with samples stretched and layered and the rhythms resolutely clanky. ‘Burglar Loops’ is the third release by him on London label The Trilogy Tapes (after the Dro Carey EPs ‘Venus Knocks’ and ‘Leary Blips’ and the first Tuff Sherm EP ‘Pharmacy’ put out last year) and is made up of four ‘floor rippers encapsulated in a Mobb Deep vocal loop used for the title track and expanded on in the closer Drakkhen & Bley. No official date on the release yet but it’s out soon and available to stream in full below.
