TSU! - TSU!

Turkish folk inspired guitar patterns from exciting new Istanbul artist.

TSU! is the recording name of Istanbul’s Hakan Dedeoğlu. One of the editors of Turkey’s Bant Mag, he makes intricate guitar-based music inspired by Turkish traditional and folk music, as well as English and Far Eastern folk. He released his debut self-titled album last summer but I heard it for the first time this year and was struck by the filmic quality of his work: each track is like a painting dancing before the eyes, conjuring up dreams of a different pace of life. You can listen to the album in full below (and purchase it by naming your price on TSU!‘s Bandcamp page). TSU!‘s second album is due this April on a new NYC label called 88 Records (it doesn’t yet have a website) and will feature cello, percussion, bass and Moog.

TSU!‘s debut album ‘TSU!’ is available on their Bandcamp page and was released on 15th August 2012
