Tom Vek, Best Coast and Au Revoir Simone collaborate with Johnny Marr

Johnny Marr has collaborated on an interesting new project with four of the indie world’s brightest young stars in the form of Best Coast, Tom Vek, Au Revoir Simone and Mona. The former Smiths/Cribs/Modest Mouse guitarist provided five ideas or objects which each act would take inspiration from to write a brand new song.

Marr wrote a poem, took a picture, pulled a quote from Schiller, used a very old map and recorded a piece of music which were to provide the creative spark for the younger acts.
