Following on from his wicked Strandbar, man of the hour Todd Terje is releasing a new 12" on his own Olsen Records. Spiral and Q were originally produced for 2012's Ekko Festival in Bergen and further expanded upon in the studio afterwards. Spiral is classic Terje, layering its synth arpeggios and slowly building until that sweet, blissful pay-off. Q on the b-side is the slightly deeper joint, an 12-minute track described in a press release as a "trance-not-trance epic". As usual, Terje still wears his preference for pop production circa 1977 to '82 on his sleeves. As with Ragysh, Inspector Norse and Strandbar, expect this to explode in the coming months.
Terje's debut album is, according to the press release, set to come soon, and intriguingly, neither of these tracks will appear on it.
Olsen Records will release Spiral / Q on November 27th 2013.
