Chicago rapper/singer/songwriter Tink has put out three mixtapes since last year, but it was her feature on Future Brown's recent off-kilter club tune Wanna Party that made us sit up and pay attention to her arresting style of fearsome sweet-voiced rapping. Her latest mixtape, 'Boss Up', is just full of reasons to keep on paying attention – riding beats that range from low-slung R&B to rowdy trap, Tink's biting vocal is a slinky chameleon, its colour shiftng to match its environment but being made from the toughest of skins. Plus that artwork – the withering stare, the corporate setting, the piles of money and Louis Vuitton – is a whole lot of fun.
