The xx are playing a show with an orchestra in a minor fishing port

The xx have been confirmed to take part in the second BBC Philharmonics Presents… festival. Following last year’s events starring the somewhat less-celestial sounds of Nero, The BBC Philharmonic will be performing arrangements of xx tracks alongside composer Alex Baranowski in the picturesque setting of The Spa Bridlington. The concert will take place on the 19th September in Bridlington, East Riding Yorkshire, UK and will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 1, and is part of a wider festival also featuring Richard Hawley and Ren Harvieu.
