The Knife have posted a cryptic new video to their official website that seems to suggest some form of activity. Whilst it’s uncertain what this is for, we are hoping that it’s a new album – in 2010, Karin hinted on her website that she and Olof had started writing together again, whilst Shannon Funchess of Light Asylum recently revealed that she’d recorded vocals for the new record in an interview with Dazed Digital.
The Swedish duo of siblings Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer have not released a studio album together since 2006’s ‘Silent Shout’, although they collaborated with Mt. Sims and Planningtorock in 2010 on the Darwin-inspired opera ‘Tomorrow, In A Year’. Since then, Karin has released a solo record as Fever Ray whilst Olof is rumoured to be the face behind a string of techno 12“s released under the name Oni Ayhun. Olof recently also curated a festival.
You can watch the video on their official site.
