The Horrors cover Frankie Knuckles' classic Your Love

Following the recent, unexpected death of the Chicago house legend, The Horrors pay their respects in a Radio 1 live session.

Following the recent, unexpected death of Godfather of House Frankie Knuckles, The Horrors have covered his classic single Your Love for BBC Radio 1 last night.

The Horrors' new, fourth album, 'Luminous', embraces dance influences more overtly than they have before – of the singles available online right now, it's easiest to hear in the acid house-recalling bassline that runs through So Now You Know – and the cover seems an extension of that interest. The band remain fairly faithful and respectful to the original version.

As well as covering Your Love, the band also played two songs from 'Luminous' – So Now You Know and In And Out Of Sight. The session is embedded below – the cover comes in at around the 18 minute mark.

XL Recordings release 'Luminous' on May 5th 2014 (pre-order).
