Teeth and Desto launch new label Signal Life, release first single

Helsinki’s Teeth (aka Matti Pentikäinen) and Desto, who have both released on labels like Ramp and Noppa, have teamed up to launch a new label.

Both artists have revealed details of Signal Life on various social media platforms. A single will be released, featuring Teeth and Desto’s own tracks. In their own words, Signal Life is “a label dedicated to upfront bass excursions… [which] will focus on releasing a wide spectrum of music with the common denominator in the low end: raw, stripped down rhythms laden with bass.”

Signal Life 001’s A-side Vibrate is delivered by Teeth – a slice of high-powered, growling bass with ecstatic 808 drum beats that differs to last year’s 502-released seductive, sparse stand-out track Shawty. On the flip, Desto provides Remember, a dark, neatly programmed slab of percussion. Release date of ‘Vibrate / Remember’ has not been provided, more details to follow.
