The New York duo return with a single on R&S Records

It’s a pleasure to welcome back Teengirl Fantasy, who’ve made something very special and very weird indeed in the shape of ‘Motif’, a track which won’t be appearing on their next album but hints at where they’ve been taking their hypnotic analogue reveries lately. Punchy and percussive, it’s a twisting journey through different textures and rhythms and impossible to second-guess. Just when you think you’re getting in the groove, they throw in a chunk of piano house and then take everything down twenty notches for the noodly fade-out.

Newly signed to R&S Records, the New York duo are releasing ‘Motif’ as a single backed with a remix from the always-on-point Actress plus a second track, ‘Eternal’, which is set to appear on their forthcoming album.
