Sun Araw, M. Geddes Gengras and The Congos to play London

LA and Jamaican artists living worlds apart, meeting in the middle for special London performance in June.

Psychedelic guitarist Sun Araw and band mate M. Geddes Gengras have met with roots reggae legend Ashanti Roy and his crew twice on The Congos’ home turf at their HQ in Jamaica since recording with them last year.

Now everyone will have the chance to perform outside their element at a very special, one-off show at London’s Village Underground as part of the Barbican’s music season. The gig will take place on 22nd June, following the release of their upcoming FRKWYS Vol. 9, ‘Icon Give Thank’ collaboration out on RVNG Intl on 10th April. It will be interesting to see how the record translates live.
