P. Morris - Before You Disappear
After producing the magical Kelela x Le1f track OICU in August, LA producer P. Morris (née Morri$) shares his own single, Before You Disappear, ahead of his new EP ‘Beloved’. Previously, Morris has released music on both Night Slugs and Fade To Mind, but this release comes out through his own label, Bear Club Music Group.
The repeated vocal sample on the track sounds like someone submerged underwater trying to talk, garbled and pitch-shifted over the hi-res drums, aptly accompanied by visuals that are too blurry to comprehend. It’s a disorientating, ominous listen that cements why artists from Feist to Kelela have enlisted him to produce for them.
