Stream new track from D'Eon's upcoming album

Listen to the experimental Canadian's _Now You Do_ from 'LP'.

5th June will mark the dream-pop artist’s first full-length release, and he’s named it ‘LP’, which is unrevealing to say the least. This Montrealian makes intense music that contradicts itself by mixing unsettled percussion and beats with smooth vocals and Disney-esque dreaminess. So far, he’s had a good run of music-making with a few EPs under his name, as well as one made from the combined effort of himself and fellow Canadian, Grimes called ‘Darkbloom’.

‘Now You Do’, the one track label Hippos in Tanks are letting us hear pre-release, is in keeping with the mystically offbeat. The first crackling few seconds of the tune don’t lead you to believe the beauty that succeeds it, though as soon as the background rumbles and high-pitched sparse keys drop in, you’ll be taken.

The stream for ‘Now You Do’ is available here, through Spin.

And you can watch Grimes and D’Eon bring their oddities together in the video for Transparency below.
