Dan Bodan - Jaws of Life

The art pop singer shares another beautiful bit of songwriting from his debut album for DFA.

Dan Bodan has dropped another track from his forthcoming debut album 'Soft' for DFA Records. This one's really great – titled Jaws of Life, it's the album's centrpiece and a really excellent piece of songwriting to boot. I dont trust you anymore, Bodan sings, a voice that feels both strong and confident, but with a slight quiver to its lip. Saxophones play the song out: they start out seeming all loungey, but they quickly k-hole into The Contortions-esque discord.
