Boothroyd - NYC

The Big Apple sounds rotten to the core on the new Tri Angle signing's first track for the label.

'Idle Hours' is the debut EP from Boothroyd, a 21-year-old from Manchester now living in London who recently signed to Tri Angle Records.

His first track for the label is called NYC, which depicts the Big Apple as rotten to the core: it's coarse in texture and degraded in its quality. The whole EP was produced using a deliberately rudimentary setup and mixed on what Boothroyd describes as "cheap, shitty headphones" in a press release, with the intention of creating something that's widescreen in its concept but compressed in its execution, like watching rip of a Hollywood film on Youtube at 240p.

Boothroyd 'Idle Hours' EP tracklist:

01. NYC
02. Skinned
03. Colony
04. Y5

Tri Angle Records release the 'Idle Hours' EP on September 29th 2014.
