Sophie - Elle

Whilst not as unbelievably grin-inducing as the last single there’s no denying the effectiveness of Elle, the heavyweight new single from producer Sophie. Released through Numbers, Elle is a bright banger with synths that bear a slight resemblance to folks like Rustie – the rhythms are completely different, though, with the slow and steady thump a million miles away from the propulsive hip hop base that those producer build their tracks on. It’s all oddly emotional, too. Sophie is a weird one for sure, but a new producer worth keeping an eye on.
