Skin Town - Midnight Lover

More cold-hearted R&B with hints of Zola Jesus and Kelela from the new LA duo.

Icy R&B duo Skin Town have just posted another track from their upcoming debut album 'The Room'. The LA duo's dynamic hinges on Grace Hall's androgynous vocal being propelled by the minimalist, punchy synths of Zola Jesus collaborator Nick Turco, resulting in R&B that's less overtly sexy than the norm, holding its listener at arm's length like the recent Kelela mixtape with bristling and metallic sounds, and yet retaining all of the genre's urgency and even playfulness. Look out for the album next week.

Time No Place will release 'The Room' on the 5th November.
