Sia drops Shia LaBeouf from her film 'Music', calls him a "pathological liar"

The Australian singer claimed LaBeouf "conned" her into an adulterous relationship by lying he was single

Sia has dropped Shia LaBeouf from her upcoming film, Music, replacing his role with American actress Kate Hudson.

The news comes after Sia accused LaBeouf of “conning” her into an adulterous relationship, as she spoke out on Twitter in support of FKA twigs, who recently filed a lawsuit accusing the actor of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress.

“I too have been hurt emotionally by Shia, a pathological liar, who conned me into an adulterous relationship claiming to be single,” she wrote. “I believe he’s very sick and have compassion for him AND his victims. Just know, if you love yourself- stay safe, stay away.”

In an interview with Studio 10, the Australian pop star spoke about her film’s re-casting: “I was going to do a narrative film, and in fact, Shia LaBeouf was cast to play Kate’s character”.

“I asked for a meeting with her, and she said she was born to do it. She could sing, she could dance, she could do it all,” she added.

In an email statement to the NYT, LaBeouf responded to the allegations made against him by twigs, stating: “I’m not in any position to tell anyone how my behaviour made them feel. I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalisations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say”.

He is yet to respond to Sia’s claims.
