Back in April, Goldsmiths university announced that they were starting a record label in collboration with Matthew Herbert, and released a pretty sublime mixtape to showcase the talent they'd be putting out. Today, NX Records is ready to release its first compilation of tracks created by talented producers, bands and vocalists from the New Cross/Deptford area, 'Crossing Lines', and below you can hear the first track from a dude called Thefft

All bouncy house groove and rattling metallic shimmer, this is an imaginative club track full of interwoven percussion and buried vocal samples that gives you a pretty good idea of the playfulness and innovation of the collective as a whole. They're a talented bunch: beyond just the music, the students appearing on 'Crossing Lines' have also overseen every part of the release process, from establishing NX Records to curating their artwork. Stream it exclusively below and catch Thefft (and get your copy) at a pop-up record shop appearing on New Cross Road later this month to promote the label – more on that here.

NX Records will release 'Crossing Lines' on the 11th November 2013.
