Premiere: Romare - Pusherman

The new Ninja Tune signing streams the b-side to his first release for the label: killer grooves and dusty samples galore.

Romare makes dance music that's heavily informed by the rhythms of black American styles, whether that's jazz, rap, or juke. Following two releases for Bristol's Black Acre, he announced his signing to Ninja Tune earlier this year.

His first release for Ninja Tune is the 'Roots' EP, a short release that serves to introduce 'Projections', his upcoming full-length for the label. Pusherman is the b-side to Roots, and while it's not as overtly club-focused as that title track, it's built from the same key components: a killer rhythm, a long, drawn-out groove, some serious bass weight, and dusty samples galore.

Romare 'Roots' EP tracklist:

01. Roots
02. Pusherman

Ninja Tune release the 'Roots' EP on December 1st 2014 (pre-order).
