The Acid, if you've forgotten, are an electronic pop/rock sort of band made up of Adam Freeland, Steve Nalepa, and Ry X – three musicians who are all quite successful in their own right. Their debut album, 'Liminal', took cues from artists like Portishead, Thom Yorke, and AFX, and was released back in July.
Ghost is the latest single from 'Liminal', a song befitting of its title given its thin beat and waiflike synth pads. In Coles's hands, Ghost sounds a lot tougher and more fleshed out – she brings out the song's house music influences and makes them overt.
Apparently there are more remixes to come, which you can expect to see before the year is over.
Infectious Music/Mute Records released 'Liminal' on July 7th 2014 (buy).
