Premiere: Interpol - My Desire (Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve remix)

A mesmerising transformation of the NYC group's new single.

Erol Alkan and Richard Norris's Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve project has been an intermittent collaboration, including an album of re-edits ('Ark 1') and remixes ('Re-Animations Vol. 1'). Earlier this year, after a prolonged absence, they re-appeared, remixing Alkan’s own Phantasy signing Daniel Avery’s New Energy.

Now, the duo have come together to remix Interpol's new single My Desire, from recent album 'El Pintor'. Erol Alkan has history remixing the band – he transformed 'Our Love To Admire's Mammoth back in 2007.

On this version of My Desire, BTWS remove Interpol's trademark sliding guitars completely, adding synth loops and droning, atmospheric undertones in their place before introducing Paul Banks’s vocals.
