With spring's return and summer drawing closer, the release of Joel Wästberg aka sir Was' new single Falcon is perfectly timed. The Gothenburg-based producer is currently prepping his debut EP 'Says Hi' on City Slang, and following the flurry-filled debut single A Minor Life.
In his words, Falcon concerns loneliness and the compromises you make to solve the unwanted situation. Call it pathetic fallacy if you want, but Wästberg's punch-drunk new track is a colourful and bright encapsulation of the seasonal weather fluctuations. There's more emphasis on rhythm and groove compared to the song's predecessor; it sounds like it's soaked in both water and light; the organ is rich and melancholy while his vocal delivery matches the tone of his polyphonic symphony.

sir Was' 'Says Hi' EP is out June 3rd (digitally) and August 19th through City Slang.
