Premiere: Mali Michael - Wild Things (Visionist remix)

Haunted, menacing remix from the dark grime artist.

Grime producer Visionist has remixed a single from British soul singer Mali Michael. The original version of Wild Things is pretty haunted in its own right, all pained pianos and hurt wails against a chopped 'n' screwed backing track, with a music video that's gross in a lot of ways. Perfect foil for Visionist, then, whose remix has the same eeriness as his recent 'I'm Fine' EP but amps it up with Mali's vocal and a persistent drone that hums underneath the whole thing, adding an audible sense of menace to the whole thing.

In way lighter news, today is also Visionist's birthday – happy birthday, Visionist! He'll be celebrating by playing FWD>>, which is probably more fun than having your party at McDonalds.
