Premiere: Headlock - Trails

A little peace via suspension from New York synth artist.

The playfully named Headlock is the musical project of one Lou DiBenedetto, a New York based artist with a synth fixation. His debut, self-titled album is being released by the city's SCI-FI & FANTASY label, who you may recall recently put out Texan-in-Berlin producer Lotic's 'Fallout' EP. Headlock is almost Lotic's diametric opposite: rather than observing a world in chaos, he seeks respite from it. Ephemeral album track Trails has a watery quality, seeming to flow without beginning or end. Synth lines ripple into an endless horizon, finding that moment of peace via time suspension. It's over all too quickly, with the track living up to its name as the calm fades away.

SCI-FI & FANTASY will release Headlock's debut album 'Headlock' on 29th October 2013.
