Premiere: Flava D - 'Hold On/ Home' EP

Rolling into the third year of operation, grime label and club night Butterz are coming on strong in 2013 with their first release of the year, delivered by former RMBA participant Danielle Gooding, otherwise known as Flava D. Not only is she one of the most prominent stars in the current grime and hip hop scene, the London producer is also a part of the Wiley-established Eskibeat collective and super production group A-List. Her first major notable collaboration with Wiley was a track called Talent featuring Maxsta, which came out back in 2009.

Flava D will debut her single, titled ‘Hold On/ Home’, via the Elijah and Skilliam-operated label on 11th March. A-side Hold On is a Todd Edwards-influenced garage track, characterised by the chopped-up vocal samples and euphoric piano chords, while on the flip, Home is a bassline-heavy, pulsating slice of dancefloor-ready production.
