Premiere: Discoverer - Blood Lab

Deep, mesmerising new track by Kansas City artist Discoverer premiered inside.

Digitalis Recordings – an Oklahoma-based electronic label representing a hot bed of electronic artists (including Ricardo Donoso, who provided us with a brilliant original Dummy mix earlier this week) comes through with an incredible new album, offered by Kansas City producer Discoverer (real name Brandon Knocke), who is also the frontman of Parts of Speech as well as the recently-formed duo Svamps. Blood Lab, taken from his second full-length album ‘Tunnels’ is premiered on our site.

Carefully constructed, it immediately grabs attention and drags you into a euphoric state where an endlessly rich selection of melodies brush over deep bass grooves. Composed of swirling synth lines and mellow, absorbing keyboard notes, it’s a luxuriant and emotion-fueled piece of music with a sense of tranquility placed just right. What’s truly impressive is the balance between the opposing forces of light and darkness; they find their feet through the connection between the expansive elements and the deep, sizzling sound. Listen below.

Digitalis Recordings will release Discovere – ‘Tunnels’ LP on 8th November, 2012
