Premiere: Austra - Painful Like (xxxy remix)

Ex-Manchester, now London-based producer xxxy has remixed the new single for Canadian indie group Austra.

His remix is all overlapping arpeggios, glow-in-the-dark synths and irresistible basslines underlined by a chest-pounding kickdrum. It has breakdowns, too, and unashamedly trancey ones at that.

Really, this makes us miss the good old fashioned, unpretentious indie remix – if you're not bouncing around by the end then we're clearly not on the same page.
