Premiere: Air Max '97 - Progress And Memory

Stream a tightrope of a track by the Melbourne-based club producer, out on Liminal Sounds next month.

Air Max ’97 is a Melbourne-based DJ and producer who describes his productions as "oblique club trax". As well as appreciating the interesting dance music, you've got to applaud his vocal support of the Nike Air Max 97 trainer, a fine shoe that has never recieved the love it deserves, coming so soon as it did after the incredible, still-unmatched Air Max 95.

Anyway, we digress. Air Max '97 is putting out an EP called 'Progress and Memory' on Liminal Sounds – a third release for both the man and the London label. Premiering here is the lead track from the record, a high drama affair with metallic drums clashing against a wall of bass and a floating synth melody. It will be accompanied by a Neana remix on the EP, another producer firmly in the post-Night Slugs world of minimal club who was recently featured in conversation with his mate Deamonds for Dummy. Stream Progress and Memory below.
