PJ Harvey wins her second Mercury for 'Let England Shake'

PJ Harvey won the Mercury last night, as you’ve no doubt heard by now. With ‘Let England Shake’ bookies favourite even before nominations were announced, it’s no surprise, just as xx was entirely expected in 2010, but it’s hard to fault the £20,000 going to such a sumptuous, radical album as Polly Jean’s meticulously wrought war concept album.
