Pharmakon - Ache

The NYC noise artist's aptly-named track sounds painful and perilous, in the best possible way.

NYC noise artist Pharmakon, AKA Margaret Chardie, has been making industrial noise music for five years, leading the city’s Red Light District collective from the age of 17. On her new track Ache, taken from her upcoming debut album, her painfully visceral, throat-scratching wails stalk aggressively over a backdrop that swings perilously like a rope bridge. There’s not so much a sense of urgency to this piece of music as there is a suffocating mass of it.

Stream Ache below, and Pharmakon’s first single Crawling on Bruised Knees here.

Sacred Bones Records will release ‘Abandon’ ont he 10th June 2013.
